Morgan Weaver joined the KBTX in June 2021 as Sports multimedia journalist in Bryan-College Station. Her coverage includes all things Texas A&M, local sports and news.

Since she has been in Aggieland, Morgan’s beat has developed into feature stories that go beyond highlights and scores. She has also covered major sporting events including the Men’s College World Series and the Men’s NCAA basketball tournament.

In just a year and a half at KBTX, Morgan was awarded as the “Best Sports Reporter” in Small TV Markets by the Texas Association of Broadcasters.

Morgan attended the Philip Merrill School of Journalism at the University of Maryland and graduated in May of 2021 with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. Originally from Frederick, Maryland, she will always be a Terp. 

While at the UMD, Weaver was a Reporter/Anchor for Capital News Service where she reported, shot, wrote, and edited packages for a live newscast airing on spectrum newscast that has a potential reach of over 400,000 households. 

She was also the Video Editor for Testudo Times, SB Nation’s Award-winning Maryland Terrapins Site. With Testudo Times she shot, wrote, and edited all of the site's post-game recap’s, highlights and packages for their social platforms with over 20 thousand followers.

In addition, she had the opportunity to intern at ABC 7, ESPN’s “Pardon the Interruption” and WDVM-TV.

 Outside the newsroom, Morgan enjoys watching sports, working out, reading a good book or constantly refreshing Twitter.
